Happy Christmas from all of us at Miller Green
As December arrives and the real countdown to Christmas begins, we at Miller Green are getting the kitchen ready to prepare some lovely Christmas fare for our customers. Last year’s centrepiece portobello mushroom, chestnut and pecan Wellington is back by popular request and we have added some more festive specialities.
Our Christmas pudding is shaped like an old-fashioned plum duff but is mainly chocolate and rum soaked fruit, with a bit of crunch for good measure – a bit like a slightly boozy rocky road. Perfect for vegans and anyone who is not keen on classic Christmas pud. It looks great on the table as well, topped off with a sprig of holly. We test ran it at the Viva! Vegan Festival and came home with an armful of orders.
We’ve also been working on Christmas cakes and mince pies and have come up with some delicious results, including a gluten free Christmas cake which sacrifices nothing in terms of taste.
We’re taking orders now. Christmas cakes need to be ordered by 6th December as they take a couple of weeks to prepare. Other items can be ordered until 19th December. We’ll be delivering on the 23rd and 24th December.
